Probably the service standard varies in different circles. Over here we have similar problems (like you) with BSNL, Airtel sends 30 spam sms's per day and Idea is not that popular. I, however, am against the hutch-vodafone tie up cause if vodafone has it's way (like in europe) - we might have to live with company branded phones with limited firmware functionalities.
