Bug in Google

In the picture above just look where it says Cash.. the amount is being displayed in $’s instead of Rs. which is being used to represent rest of the amounts.

Bug in Google

The image is snapshot of my share portfolio in Google’s website, which is simple and easy to use. But they have got this problem of inserting bugs in their code. If you look at the three red boxes in the image (right click and open image in new window/tab) . Market price(MP) is calculates as Last Price(LP) X Shares(S). So for Suzlon MP should have been 89.50 X 30 = 2,685.00 but according to google its 2,644.50. Google thanks for your new age mathematics.

Guys I really respect you and all the application that you make. But this type of faux-pas is seldom pardoned. You need a really good Quality Control guys at your office. And please sure that the quality guy and developer dont meet face to face. Tha you will have a really robust application

This is not about me but one of the best emplyoer of the world. These guys have the policy of giving free services to the world. I am talking about Google. The biggest search engine has got a bug.  The title also mentions the same

There is a bug while doing a dictionary search.

step to generate the bug. First goto http://google.com

1. Search for “define:Santosh” (or any term after define:)

2. It shows related phrase and definitions

3. Click on the any related phrase except the first one. (anything other than santosh sivan)

4. instead of displaying the definition of clicked item. the page displays the clicked item appended to first search term

Make sure you check it before google rectifies the problem. Bab bad coder google. And you test enginners at google here is a message for you “Your testing Sucks”

but this post is not about the new year but its my love with the kitchen and the becoming a cooker a few weeks back. The day being sunday and a cook off day . It was me who had to don the role of our cook. Yeah i know its should be the HAT but my cook is yet to know what is  HAT and an Apron so its the shoes for the time being.

Here is my version of Paneer Masala.

Serves – 3-4 people

Time needed  – Minimum 40- 45 minutes (from peeling of onions to the final dish)

Ingrediants:

Oil – 3-4 Spoons (Type is your choice olive, mustard, refined, sunflower)

Onions Puree – 3-4 medium size (Just put them in mixie)

Ginger Garlic and Green Chili Paste – one spoon

Tomato Puree -3-4 medium size (Just put them in mixie)

Garam Masala – half to 3/4 Tea spoon (dont put too much)

Salt – To Taste

and Paneer – Diced (Quantity- Its on you how much you want)

How to make:

If you have the above mentioned ingredients than it should look like some thing like this

PS:- Make sure you do this on a low flame. The low falme add some extra taste

And than take a wok (kadahi) and put the oil in and let it get warm. Add  Ginger Garlic and Green Chili Paste and fry it for second or two.

And add the onion puree and keep stirring fr 5-6 minute. add salt and garam masala. and keep stirring the onion puree  till is becomes 1/3 of its quantity. and start to look something like this.

Than add the tomato puree and reduce it again to 1/3 of the quantity. and should look like this.

if you take a whiff of the the product in making it should it not smell of garam masala. add water as per your need. how much gravy you need. add paneer and simmer for few minutes and you are done . should the final product look like this.

This is to formally announce that I have bought a MP4 Player. At last. The Google(yeah i call search and google in the same breath) was on for last 2 years for a durable yet cost efficient. I planned to buy one of the guys from Transcend stable or SanDisk. But after reading the reviews the sounded like more of a mediocre than a full fledged or great PMP. Then I went for the guys who revolutionized the product Apple Computers. But they were too costly. So the last option was to choose a product which was cost effective yet great. Thus came 3 players Phillips, Samsung and Creative. Out of which Samsung is not available in India. I was searching for a minimum of 2 GB video capable PMP. But when I saw the Creative Zen 4 GB it was much better than the others. Some of the online reviews said it’s just a little below the famed iPod Nano. So I went ahead and bought from the product from http://ebay.in. Though I am yet to get the product in my hands hope that the product is as good as the reviews say. To be on the safer side I have even bought a pair of Creative Ep-630 earphones to go with the product.
